Medical Receptionist –

We're looking for a professional, patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team at McKinnon Hill Medical Centre.
About the Role
- Casual position (3–4 shifts per week) with potential for permanent part-time
- Located in McKinnon (close to public transport and parking)
- Competitive pay based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients on arrival and assist with check-in, forms, and payments
- Manage phone and online bookings through our clinical software
- Process Medicare, DVA, and private payments, issue invoices and receipts
- Support doctors and nurses with daily clinic coordination and patient flow
- Prepare and scan documents into patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Manage recalls and reminders, assist with reports, and handle general administration
- Monitor waiting areas and provide calm, professional communication with patients
About You
- Previous experience in a GP or medical practice is highly preferred
- Confident with computers, multitasking, and patient communication
- Professional, reliable, and mature-minded
- Calm under pressure with a warm, caring approach
- Enjoys teamwork and values excellent patient service

Pay: $31.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
