We're looking for a professional, patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team at McKinnon Hill Medical Centre.

About the Role

  • Casual position (3–4 shifts per week) with potential for permanent part-time
  • Located in McKinnon (close to public transport and parking)
  • Competitive pay based on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients on arrival and assist with check-in, forms, and payments
  • Manage phone and online bookings through our clinical software
  • Process Medicare, DVA, and private payments, issue invoices and receipts
  • Support doctors and nurses with daily clinic coordination and patient flow
  • Prepare and scan documents into patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Manage recalls and reminders, assist with reports, and handle general administration
  • Monitor waiting areas and provide calm, professional communication with patients

About You

  • Previous experience in a GP or medical practice is highly preferred
  • Confident with computers, multitasking, and patient communication
  • Professional, reliable, and mature-minded
  • Calm under pressure with a warm, caring approach
  • Enjoys teamwork and values excellent patient service
