Job description

Mentone Medical Clinic is located at Thrift Park Shopping Centre and has been operating since 2015. We are a bulk billing Practice, operating between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am to 1pm Saturdays. We are currently looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team on a part-time basis.

Joining our team of Doctors, Practice Nurses and Administration staff, we offer a friendly work environment, supported with ongoing training and possible opportunities for career development.

We have one position available for the following days:

  • Mondays & Wednesday (8am-6pm), Tuesdays (half day alternating)
  • Saturday as needed
  • As well as flexibility for some leave/sick coverage

The successful candidate will have great customer service skills, high attention to detail and a friendly yet professional demeanour.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • answering incoming calls
  • greeting patients
  • booking appointments via phone and in person
  • taking payments/processing Medicare claims
  • scanning
  • faxing
  • managing referrals
  • liaising with Doctors/Specialists
  • cleaning & restocking offices
  • general administration

Do you have the qualities that we are looking for?

  • Previous Medical Reception / Reception experience required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task with a high attention to detail
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Microsoft office and administration skills
  • Team player with a "can do" attitude
  • Previous experience using a booking software program (eg: Best Practice)

Start as soon as possible.

Remuneration is as per Health Professionals and Support Services Award [MA000027] and experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
