Casual Medical Receptionist – La Trobe St Medical (Melbourne CBD)

Immediate Start | Multiple Positions Available | Potential for Part-Time Hours

La Trobe St Medical is a well-established GP clinic located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. We are currently seeking motivated and compassionate Medical Receptionists to join our supportive team on a casual basis, with an immediate start. Multiple positions are available, and part-time hours may be offered in the future for the right candidates.

About the Role:

As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and assisting patients
  • Managing phone enquiries and appointment bookings
  • Performing general administrative and reception duties
  • Collaborating with our Practice Nurse and two GPs

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking individuals who are:

  • Reliable, empathetic, and self-motivated
  • Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Sensitive to the needs of patients, including those experiencing drug dependency or mental health challenges
  • Excellent multitaskers with strong communication skills

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 12 months of experience in medical reception
  • Proficiency with Best Practice software
  • Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

This role is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in the medical or healthcare field.

Availability:

Initial commitment of one shift per week, with the possibility of increased hours over time.
