Looking experienced Curry and Tandoori Chef for our busy Indian restaurant in Mill Park vic.

  • Preparing various food items .

  • Pre-cooking preparations such as washing, chopping, peeling, cutting, and boiling the meats, seafood, salads, vegetables, and fruits.

  • Follow recipes including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.

  • Preparing food items keeping in mind the nutrition value of the items included.

  • Check quality of food before serving and examining of food by tasting it

  • Season the food with various spices.

  • Controlling and regulating oven temperature

  • Follow workplace health & safety procedures.

  • Handling and labelling stored goods.

In Return, for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package (75K) plus Super and receive ongoing training with an opportunity to develop your skills. Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery) and 2 years of practical experience working as a COOK /CHEF in an Indian restaurant will be prioritised. Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicant must be available for 7 days/week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend & late shifts).
