We have a position available for an apprentice pastry chef

we are looking for a some who is available Monday - Friday, at this stage, the hours available are Monday - Thursday 9-5 schooling when required

You will need to be passionate about sweet treats, and love working in a busy environment. You will need to be a big team player and take initiative to get things done.

Your main duties include but not limited to:

  • Assisting the pastry chef in the preparation of biscuits/cakes
  • Training to learn procedures and duties in food preparation
  • Working under the supervision of the pastry chef
  • Operating commercial cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, fryers, ovens and stoves
  • Kitchen cleaning, such as dish washing and equipment cleaning, sanitation
  • Assists in other areas of food preparation and packaging

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be driven and fast paste, have a passion for the food industry
  • Be punctual & reliable
  • Keen to learn all aspects of the trade
  • Be well presented
  • Be team orientated
