About the role

As the Manager at Zirkys Mount Hotham', you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of this premier ski resort hotel. Situated in the picturesque Hotham Heights of Victoria, this full-time position offers the opportunity to lead a talented team to elevate the experience for our guests throughout the ski season.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, retail, sports shop and maintenance
  • Oversee staff scheduling, training, and development to build a high-performing and guest-focused team
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve any guest concerns in a timely manner
  • Monitor and manage budgets, inventory, and other financial aspects of the hotel
  • Foster collaboration between departments to coordinate property-wide events and activities
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Actively participate in strategic planning to drive the hotel's continued growth and success

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in hotel management or a related hospitality role
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Familiarity with Mount Hotham, other Victorian ski resorts, or mountain tourism industry is highly desirable
