The Role

We're looking for a Coffee Experience Manager to lead and elevate our coffee program across the hotel. This isn't just about making a great flat white (though you'll do plenty of that), it's about curating an entire coffee journey for our guests. From sourcing beans with purpose, to perfecting extraction, to creating service rituals that surprise and delight, you'll ensure every sip tells a story.

You'll oversee our coffee operations across all outlets (Neighbours, Crane Bar, From Here, In-Room Dining, Upstairs and Banquets), guide a passionate team of baristas, and keep us at the forefront of Melbourne's world-class coffee scene.

What you'll be doing

  • Curating and managing the end-to-end coffee experience in every outlet
  • Leading, training, and inspiring our barista team to deliver consistency, care, and innovation
  • Showcasing Neighbours (our grab & go concept) as a signature outlet
  • Developing seasonal and signature beverage menus in collaboration with our culinary teams
  • Fine-tuning equipment and ensuring every cup meets the highest flavour and presentation standards
  • Building guest connections by sharing the story of our coffee program
  • Managing suppliers, sustainable sourcing, and inventory
  • Creating a positive, healthy, and fun team culture

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years' barista experience in a hotel, café, or hospitality setting
  • Expert knowledge of espresso equipment, calibration, and flavour extraction
  • Coffee certifications (or equivalent experience)
  • RSA + Food Safety Handling Certificate (essential)
  • A true passion for coffee, sustainability, and guest engagement
  • A calm, positive presence even in high-volume environments
  • Flexible availability across a 7-day roster
