With a reputation for excellence and innovation, we are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving our success. The role would involve working closely with our pre-contracts and construction management teams.
Your Role
As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. Your expertise will guide decision-making and ensure the financial success of our projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for construction and a knack for numbers.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and consultants to ensure accurate scoping and budgeting.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Prepare tender submissions and present cost breakdowns to stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain up-to-date pricing.
- Mentor and support junior estimators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- A degree or diploma in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is preferred.
