The Role:

As a key member of the Motive Building Group Family, the Senior Estimator/Scheduler will support the business with estimating & scheduling activities during the project cycle. Primary activities include:

  • Complete detailed and accurate pricing estimates across the projects
  • Complete detailed methodologies and tender schedules
  • Interpret architectural drawings and review scopes of work to ensure it is reflected in pricing and project schedules
  • Evaluate pricing, quotes, and estimates from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Prepare and maintain tender pricing & documentation deliverables
  • Review and liaise with the directors across all residential & commercial contracts
  • Maintain, track and report on tender progress, performance & key performance indicators
  • Liaise closely with key stakeholders, management, and all other project staff
  • Provide collaborative input into the additional scope of works including assessing associated costs and risks to each project
  • Preparation of minor tender documentation and subsequent requests for quotations on the construction works for each

About You:

Motive is seeking a suitably qualified candidate with 5+ years' experience in Estimating/Scheduling, preferably within the residential/commercial construction industry.

To be successful for the role, you will also possess the following criteria:

  • Diploma qualified in Construction, Engineering, or Cost Engineering desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills when liaising with all parties including suppliers, sub-contractors and clients.
  • Knowledge of industry specific contracting practices in the residential/commercial construction sector.
  • Previous experience in tender administration, ideally within the residential/commercial construction industry.
