Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced
Program Manager
(or a highly skilled
Project Manager
ready to step into program management responsibilities) to lead a major
GIS Program
encompassing the
GIS Core Upgrade
and
Geospatial Visualisation Tool
initiatives.

This role will be responsible for coordinating program delivery, managing procurement activities, overseeing multiple workstreams, and ensuring that all outcomes align with business and strategic objectives. The successful candidate will combine strong technical understanding of geospatial systems with excellent program governance, stakeholder management, and delivery leadership capabilities.

    Based on experience
  • Contract Length:
    12 months from start date (with potential for extension)
  • Work Model:
    Hybrid – minimum 1 day in office per week
  • Location:
    Sydney CBD

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end management of GIS-related projects and program workstreams
  • Oversee the delivery of the
    GIS Core Upgrade
    and
    Geospatial Visualisation Tool
    projects
  • Coordinate and manage
    RFP and procurement processes
    related to the program
  • Align program objectives with organisational goals and ensure governance compliance
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders to ensure delivery success
  • Provide regular progress updates and executive reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Foster collaboration and drive a high-performance culture across project teams

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a
    Program Manager
    or
    Senior Project Manager
    delivering large-scale technology programs
  • Strong background in
    Geo-Spatial projects
    and related technologies
  • Working knowledge of
    Esri
    tools and
    Geospatial Visualisation platforms
  • Demonstrated experience leading
    procurement and RFP
    processes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with senior leadership exposure
  • Strong planning, risk management, and delivery governance experience
  • Practical, delivery-focused approach with a hands-on attitude to problem-solving
  • Experience in technology or utilities environments (advantageous)
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to build trust and collaboration across diverse workstreams
