IT Project Manager | Government Client | Sydney, NSW

(12 month daily rate contract / Hybrid)

Our client, a leading government agency, is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a new digital transformation and enterprise application initiatives that enhance service delivery, customer experience, and community impact.

You'll take ownership from project inception through to end-to-end delivery, collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead large-scale digital and enterprise application projects from initiation to implementation
  • Develop project plans, business cases, and governance documentation
  • Manage internal teams and coordinate cross-functional collaboration
  • Oversee project budgets ($3M+) and ensure milestone delivery
  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to senior stakeholders

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years' experience delivering complex digital / enterprise application projects
  • Demonstrated success leading customer-focused digital initiative
    s
    (web, CRM, portals, self-service, or customer engagement platforms)
  • Strong understanding of customer experience and service improvement
    within transformation programs
  • Hands-on end-to-end delivery experience in structured (Waterfall) environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Exceptional writing and documentation skills, with the ability to produce compelling business cases, reports, and project materials
  • Technically adept with the ability to identify and resolve complex challenges
  • Relevant certifications (PMBOK, PRINCE2) highly regarded
