We are seeking a junior to mid-level IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support across the firm. This role is service facing, requiring strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to manage day-to-day IT operations, onboarding/offboarding, and hardware/network support.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding & Offboarding

• Co-ordinate with Managed Service Provider (MSP) for account creation, access, and permissions
• Prepare laptops (clean, wipe, configure, map to user, provide bag)
• Ensure desks are ready (hardware, cabling, setup support)
• Guide offsite staff where required
• Retrieve and securely wipe devices upon exit
• Manage account deactivation and monitoring timelines
• Conduct IT inductions for new staff

Hardware & Asset Management

• Maintain accurate records of laptop-to-staff mapping (Intune & spreadsheets)
• Ensure availability of spare hardware (laptops, keyboards, mice, headsets)
• Troubleshoot and coordinate warranty repairs with vendors (e.g., Lenovo)
• Manage laptop procurement, replacement recommendations, and vendor negotiations
• Maintain asset register with lifecycle tracking (procurement, warranty, disposal)

User Support

• Provide walk-up and desk-side support for day-to-day issues
• Log and escalate tickets with MSP as needed, ensuring timely resolution
• Troubleshoot issues directly where appropriate, applying judgment on escalation
• Provide high-touch, priority support to Partners and senior staff

Network & Systems Support

• Troubleshoot network-related issues (cabling, hardware, access points)
• Enroll/unenroll devices, push configurations, and apply updates
• Identify and apply system and device patches
• Proactively monitor network performance

Conference Room & Event Support

• Ensure conference room technology is up-to-date and functional
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly
• Support the setup of internal and external meetings/events

Projects & Initiatives

• Assist the IT Manager with implementation of new technology projects, including system rollouts, upgrades and security initiatives

Skills & Attributes

• 1–3 years' experience in IT support or similar role (junior–mid level)
• Hands-on experience with Windows devices, Intune , and Microsoft 365
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (cabling, access points, patching)
• Exposure to asset management and hardware procurement
• Ability to provide on-site support (this role is office-based)
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills (hardware, network, user support)
• Ability to prioritise, evaluate urgency, and follow escalation processes
• Professional, service-oriented approach with excellent communication skills
• Can-do attitude, personable, and team-oriented
• Experience documenting IT processes and maintaining a knowledge base
