About the role

VDG are seeking an experienced Day Shift Supervisor for a role in Melbourne. The hours are between 10:00 am - 02:00 pm, Monday to Friday and require cleaning experience of no less than 3+ years, have experience working autonomously and in sign off documentation.

Key responsibilities

  • Previous cleaning experience in commercial properties.
  • Excellent time management and prioritising skills.
  • The ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • A professional and honest approach to work.
  • Be able to follow health and safety regulations.
  • Administration, compliance and timesheet knowledge.

Your main responsibilities will include the cleaning of office buildings and administration areas, indoor and outdoor common areas and periodical tasks.

Desirable Skills

  • Skilled in the use of professional cleaning equipment i.e., scrubbers, sweepers, carpet cleaning machines and pressure washing machines, or be willing to be trained in the use of these machines.
  • Training in all aspects of cleaning operations, managing cleaning training records in line with client's expectations
  • Skilled in the use of electronic and paper-based reporting tools, including rostering and payroll reporting.
  • Experience in compliance with auditing procedures such as iAuditor
  • Full drivers' licence.
  • Ensuring clients procedure of documentation compliance is met at all times daily.

Requirements of the Role

  • Good communication skills.
  • Skilled in using rostering and auditing software.
  • Minimum 3+ years of working as a night shift supervisor experience in General Cleaning.
  • Applicant must have administration, compliance and timesheet experience.
  • The successful applicant will need to be physically fit and be able to pass a pre-employment medical which will include a drug and alcohol test.
  • You must be able to pass a criminal history check and a working with children check.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Previous cleaning experience on commercial sites including indoor, outdoor, and common areas.
  • Understanding of OH&S processes and procedures.
