The opportunity

We have exciting opportunities for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at the National Gallery of Victoria. We are seeking an energetic, positive, self-motivated, driven and passionate leader to add value and complement our team:

  • Commercial cleaning

  • Supporting and supervising a team of cleaners

  • Training and development of new and existing staff

  • Conducting daily inspections, audits and quality checks

  • Responding to ad-hoc cleaning requests

  • Conducting routine audits and quality checks

  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures

Our ideal candidate

  • 2 years cleaning supervisory experience

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Willing to learn and get your hands dirty

  • The ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.

  • A strong customer service focus and attention to detail

  • Machine operation experience preferred

The non-negotiables

  • Min 2 years cleaning supervisory experience in a multi-disciplined environment (e.g., cleaning, leading small teams)

  • Full Australian working rights

  • High level understanding and experience with cleaning equipment and machinery

  • Skills to use Word, Excel and Outlook effectively.

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills is essential.

  • Excellent personal presentation

  • Drivers Licence

  • Working with Children Check

  • Police Check
