Qualifications & experience

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transport.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Support clients in participating in community activities and social events.
  • Implement individualised care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
  • Monitor and report on clients' progress and well-being.
  • Ensure a safe and clean living environment for clients.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship.
  • Assist with transportation to appointments and outings
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to deliver comprehensive care.
