About the role

Exciting opportunity for a Disability Support Worker to join the compassionate team at ONE STOP SUPPORT SERVICES in Cairns, Queensland. This Casual role will see you providing high-quality, personalised care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live independently and achieve their goals.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  2. Facilitating community access and participation, supporting clients to engage in social and recreational activities
  3. Developing and implementing individualised support plans to address clients' specific needs and preferences
  4. Maintaining accurate client records and documentation
  5. Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals
  6. Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements

What we're looking for

  1. A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
  2. Experience providing care and support to individuals with disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a person-centred approach
  5. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of clients
  6. A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
  7. Current First Aid and CPR certification
