Tech Support Officer

The role

Are you passionate about technology and thrive in a dynamic school environment? Guildford Grammar School is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Tech Support Officer to join our dedicated IT team as soon as possible.

As the Tech Support Officer, you'll be the first point of contact for staff and students requiring IT assistance. You'll work alongside other Tech Support Officers to provide expert support across hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring issues are resolved swiftly and professionally. This role is central to maintaining a safe, secure, and efficient digital environment that supports learning and operations across the school.

You are a solutions-oriented professional with a strong background in IT support, particularly within educational settings. You are confident in managing a busy helpdesk, skilled in troubleshooting a wide range of technical issues, and committed to delivering exceptional service to both staff and students. Your ability to stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly and work collaboratively will be key to your success in this role.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 4.00pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line Helpdesk and telephone support for all devices, services, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
• Monitor and manage devices using the school's device management system.
• Ensure privacy, security, and compliance in account and access management.
• Support AV equipment across classrooms and theatre spaces.

About You

• Proven ability to manage an IT helpdesk in a K–12 education setting is desired.
• Strong understanding of AV equipment and ICT environments in schools.
• Professional presentation and a calm, friendly manner.
• Alignment with the values of the Anglican tradition and child safety policies.
• A commitment to confidentiality, customer service and team collaboration.
• Hold current Working with Children Check.
• Hold a current satisfactory police clearance, dated within the last 6 months.
• Proof of Right to Work in Australia.
