Our Equities Operations team is part of the wider global Corporate Operations Group and supports the Equities trading business in Macquarie Capital. Our team is responsible for handling post-trade life cycle controls for equities trading in global markets including trade allocation, booking, settlement, funding, reconciliation, and client management. Our team works in close collaboration with other departments across Corporate Operations, Front Office, Finance and Risk.

What role will you play?
You will be part of the Equities Middle Office team, based at the head office in Sydney. You will be responsible for booking equity trades in the Australian and New Zealand markets, and internal front and middle office cash reconciliations. Working closely with front office, you will assess and manage risk from the daily activity of the equities trading desk. You will be responsible for allocation, confirmation and control monitoring of exception trade flow.
You will be you liaising with our Settlements teams regarding failing trades and matching issues, as well as compiling reports for senior management. You will be driving the internal objective principals of Automate-Simplify-Innovate, and will have input to improve operational robustness, risk reduction and challenge existing processes using your innovative mindset.

- Experience with Omgeo, IRESS, and OMS, experience with Alteryx and Power BI is valuable.
