Disability Support Worker – In-Home Support (Complex Care)
Location: Rouse Hill

Advance Disability Services and Respite Pty Ltd (ADSR) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team providing in-home support to a participant with complex care needs.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in high-complexity disability support and who is confident working independently in a home setting.

About the Role

You will provide direct support to a participant with complex needs in their home, ensuring their health, safety and wellbeing.

Key tasks include (but are not limited to):

* Administering Medication

* Complying with seizure management plan

* Manual handling, including transfers, mobility assistance and personal care.

* Safely operating and transporting in a wheelchair-accessible van with lift equipment.

* Supporting the participant with activities of daily living and community access.

* Maintaining clear and accurate records, including progress notes and incident reports.

* Following behaviour support plans and using positive behaviour strategies.

Hours of Work

We are currently hiring for the following shifts:

* Position 1 (Day) – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 6am-2pm (64 hours fortnightly)

* Position 2 (Day)Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 6am-2pm (48 hours fortnightly)

* Position 3 (Night) – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 2pm-10pm (64 hours fortnightly)

* Position 4 (Night)Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 2pm-10pm (48 hours fortnightly)

* Position 5 (Wakeover/Active Night)Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 10pm-6am (48 hours fortnightly)

Please note: The days and hours listed for this position are fixed and form part of the participant's support plan. We are unable to offer flexibility or alternative shifts. If successful, the roster offered will be exactly what you will work.

Essential Requirements

* Demonstrated experience in complex disability support.

* Manual handling experience (including transfers and mobility assistance).

* Experience driving wheelchair-accessible vans (including use of lift equipment).

* Current First Aid and CPR certification.

* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).

* Current Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

* COVID-19 vaccination record including at least one booster.

* Ability to use technology such as smartphones, iPads, and computers.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable

* Certificate IV in Disability or related qualification.

* Experience in in-home or complex care environments.

* Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies.
