Junior Contracts Administrator

Specializing in high-end residential and commercial builds in Victoria, we have also expanded our expertise to the Gold Coast, where we complete multi-residential projects with precision and care.
As a Junior Contract Administrator, you will work throughout the pre-construction and construction journey, including all administrative tasks, all facets of document control, managing building approvals and permits, and ensuring compliance with all contract obligations.
In addition, this role will also require you to support the onsite management team, assisting with site compliance, contractor coordination, and day-to-day project management duties.
This is a crucial role as you will oversee the management and administration of construction contracts ensuring seamless project delivery and scheduling. You take ownership of your projects, ensuring you are working one step ahead to anticipate what is required.
Your responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts, subcontracts and related commercial documents
- Monitoring contract compliance and performance, identifying and resolving any issues that arise
- Providing expert advice and guidance to project teams on contractual matters
- Maintaining comprehensive contract documentation and records
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers and legal counsel, to ensure effective contract management
- Supporting the preparation of tender responses and contract variations
- Assisting with the preparation of regular reporting on contract status and performance
- Assisting in Take offs and procurement
- Assisting with onsite inspections
- Assisting Project & construction managers in daily onsite tasks
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 0-2 years' experience for the Junior contract administration role within the construction industry
- Thorough understanding of construction contract law
- Excellent contract drafting, negotiation and administration skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in the use of contract management software
