About The Client
Our client is a highly respected fencing contractor, known for high-quality workmanship and superior service delivery. Established in 1990 and now part of a large group, they specialise in supplying and installing various fencing solutions, including chain wire, tubular steel panel, and weld mesh panel fencing. The company provides solutions to a wide range of commercial clients, particularly those managing infrastructure or construction in local government (Council), education, and sports and recreation sectors. They are dedicated to delivering competitively priced solutions with a strong focus on project management and occupational health and safety. The Role and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the General Manager, with strategic direction from the CEO and COO, you will manage and lead daily operations and oversee the small administration team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Organisational Processes: Addressing operational issues and improving workflows, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies, and implementing efficiency strategies, further developing and embedding company systems and processes, including ISO obligations.
- Human Resources: Managing all aspects of HR – recruitment, training, and performance. This includes advising managers on employee issues, coordinating hiring and team development, and managing training. You will also promote a safe and respectful workplace culture across departments.
- Administration Management: Overseeing daily business operations and ensuring alignment with company goals, managing and directing team performance, and overseeing sales administration, including tenders and contracts.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources or a related field (required).
- Experience: 2-3+ years of experience in business operations or management roles.
- Skills: Strong experience in Human Resources consulting, leadership and system implementation abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in business management software (e.g., Xero, CRM (simPRO), Excel).
- Knowledge: Knowledge of the Fair Work Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
Salary and Location
Salary Package: $135,900 package, including:
$120,000 per annum salary
$14,400 SG superannuation (12%)
Bonus Opportunity: Plus STIP bonus opportunity.
- Terms: Full-time, ongoing.
