Role Description

This is a contract role for a Junior Data Engineer, primarily based at our West Melbourne, VIC office, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. In this hybrid role, the Junior Data Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining data pipelines, managing data models, performing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, and supporting data warehousing solutions. The role involves working closely with teams to gather requirements, provide data insights through analytics, and ensure the optimization of data infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Data Engineering, including building and maintaining pipelines
  • Experience with Data Modeling and Data Warehousing concepts
  • Proficiency in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics techniques and tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment and adapt to a hybrid work setup
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and big data technologies is a plus
