Business Development Manager based in Melbourne (travel to Adelaide one week per month)

We are looking for a
Business Development Manager
who is driven, strategic, and thrives on building trusted relationships. This role will be central to the continued growth of VanEck's Australian business, working closely with financial advisers, brokers, accountants and family offices to expand the reach of our intelligently designed ETFs.

About the Role
You will be responsible for expanding VanEck's presence across intermediary channels. This includes developing and managing strong relationships with financial advisers, brokers, accountants and family offices, while also identifying and converting new business opportunities.
In this role you will:
- Drive new business growth and raise funds under management (FUM).
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to conversion.
- Build and maintain a portfolio of key clients across advisers, brokers and accountants.
- Deepen engagement with the HNW, family office and IFA segments.
- Raise the profile of VanEck through high-quality client interactions and presentations.
- Collaborate with the broader distribution and marketing team to execute strategy.
The role will be
based in Melbourne
and involve travel to Adelaide for one week per month.
About You
You are an experienced distribution professional with a proven track record in financial services. You understand portfolio construction, asset allocation and the adviser landscape, and you thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
To be successful you will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Economics or a related field (postgraduate studies such as CFA or Masters of Applied Finance are highly regarded).
- RG146 compliance.
- 5+ years' business development or sales experience in asset management, ETFs, managed funds or investment banking.
- Demonstrated success in executing sales strategies and raising assets.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Entrepreneurial drive, self-motivation and strong organisational skills.
