The Opportunity
Are you a hands-on, systems-savvy professional who thrives on managing the complete lifecycle of materials in a busy workshop environment? We are seeking a Warehouse & Procurement Officer to take ownership of our stores and supply chain operations, ensuring seamless support for our critical projects.
This is a pivotal role for someone who excels at balancing practical warehouse duties with strategic procurement and inventory management. You will be the central point of contact for all materials, from raising the purchase order to receiving the goods and getting them to our team on the workshop floor. If you are passionate about creating an organised, efficient, and responsive stores environment using your skills in both warehouse operations and ERP systems, this is your chance to make a significant and tangible impact.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from raising purchase orders in Pronto to liaising with suppliers and ensuring timely delivery.
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, dispatching, and the safe loading and unloading of goods using a forklift.
- Maintain precise inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and stocktakes, investigating discrepancies, and processing transactions in the ERP system.
- Champion best practices in inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to support workshop activities without interruption.
- Understand and uphold compliance requirements related to materials, inventory management, and chain of responsibility.
- Provide leadership and direction on the workshop floor, coordinating daily activities to meet operational deadlines and KPIs.
About You
- Demonstrated experience (minimum 3+ years) in a hybrid role that includes both procurement/purchasing and hands-on inventory/warehouse management.
- Strong technical proficiency in a computerised ERP environment, with direct experience in Pronto being highly advantageous.
- A current and valid Forklift (LF) Licence is essential.
- A valid Driver's Licence.
- A Certificate in Warehouse and Supply Chain Management is required.
- Proven ability to lead or supervise a small team is highly desirable.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-focused approach to managing a busy workshop stores environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
What's on Offer
- Competitive Hourly Rate: A rate of $40 - $43 per hour + Superannuation, based on a 50-hour week.
- Permanent, Stable Role: This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Cockburn workshop, offering stability and job security.
- Supportive Team Environment: Join a down-to-earth, high-performing team that values your contribution and supports your success.
- Direct Impact: This is a key "grey-collar" role where you will have the autonomy to manage and improve the systems and processes that directly fuel our operational success.
- Perth-Based Opportunity: Enjoy the stability of a residential role with no FIFO requirement.
