About Us:

Tango Timber & Steel is a growing name in the timber and steel industry in Brisbane, providing high-quality materials to a range of commercial and residential clients. With a strong commitment to excellent customer service and operational efficiency, we're looking for an experienced Sales Representative to join our growing team.

About the Role:

This is a customer-facing sales role with a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships, driving sales performance, and identifying new business opportunities. You'll be a key player in helping our clients find the right timber and steel products for their projects, and ensuring orders are fulfilled.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Build lasting relationships with new and existing clients, providing product knowledge, quotes, and tailored solutions.
  • Sales Performance: Meet and exceed monthly sales targets, using a proactive approach to drive business growth.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of our product range and advise customers on the most suitable materials for their needs.
  • Lead Generation & Follow-Up: Identify new opportunities, follow up on leads, and convert enquiries into sales.
  • Coordination with Operations: Liaise with suppliers & internal team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, assisting with warehousing as needed.
  • Customer Service: Handle enquiries and resolve issues with professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction from order to delivery.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a sales role, ideally in steel.
  • A results-driven attitude with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport quickly with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse and logistic operations.
  • Computer literate with an understanding of CRM, POS and sales management systems.
  • Current driver's licence (for site visits/client meetings).
