New Vehicle Sales Manager - Melbourne

Job Responsibilities

To oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sales Department including the preparation of monthly management reports, overseeing expenditure and budget achievement, and mentoring sales consultants.

  • Identify and prospect new retail customers from within our primary marketing area
  • Understand the customers objectives, buying criteria and decision-making processes
  • Build rapport, forming long term business relationships
  • Lead and undertake all aspects of the sales process, from prospect through to delivery.; and assist less experienced sales consultants
  • Promote a subset of company products and services ensuring successful introductions to Car Care and Finance & Insurance
  • Attend various business and industry events/meetings as required.
  • Lead, inspire and mentor a team of 6 to consistently exceed sales targets
  • Drive growth through innovative sales strategies and strong customer relationships
  • Maintain a daily focus on business performance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction
  • Champion a culture where NPS and customer loyalty are as important as sales results
  • Collaborate across departments to deliver a seamless customer journey
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of the curve

Experience

  • Previous automotive sale management experience essential, with demonstrated leadership skills within a retail environment is essential.
  • Sound administrative and organisational skill sufficient to oversee administrative aspects of the Department
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Sound computer skills and a proven ability to maximise output from available databases
  • highly professional approach, together with a proven strong work ethic
  • Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate sales personnel to ensure the achievement of targets
  • Strong track record of smashing sales goals and motivating teams to success
  • Commitment to exceptional customer experiences and improving NPS outcomes
  • A goal-driven mindset with the organisational skills to keep a business performing
  • Manual Driver's License (Motor Salesperson/Dealer License preferred)
  • A passion for leadership and the ambition to make a real impact
