Head of Unit Gynaecology

  • Location: Sunshine Hospital

  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

  • Salary: HM33 - HM41 as applicable

About the role:

This leadership role will oversee the provision of high quality gynaecology care to women in an area of significant growth and demand; and support sub specialist clinicians to meet the needs of our multicultural community

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subspeciality units including oncology, pelvic floor, minimally invasive surgery, fertility and reproductive choices
  • Ensure appropriate training and professional development for RANZCOG trainees
  • Lead quality and safety activities
  • Collaboratively lead innovation in service delivery alongside nursing, midwifery and allied health colleagues
  • Engage with operational staff to efficiently utilize funds to support Best Care

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women's prison located in Ravenhall.
