A little over an hour from Brisbane, Kilcoy is surrounded by a scenic landscape of rolling hills and rugged mountain ranges with views over the northern reaches of Lake Somerset. Kilcoy is an agricultural based community, with primary industries in cattle. Our school offers an outstanding agricultural program, which takes place on our small farm.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

The Head of Department - Mathematics and Health & Physical Education, will work closely with teachers to support students to engage positively in their learning and achieve success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing teacher understandings of the Australian Curriculum V9 to consolidate and build on the strong A/B data tradition at the school
  • Developing teacher capability within senior general mathematics subjects to improve student outcomes
  • Leading and overseeing the HPE department to consolidate HPE curriculum development and expand the school's flourishing Sports Development Program
  • Building the social wellbeing and group identity of a year level

  • You will have curriculum and teaching expertise within mathematics, having successfully taught maths across years 7-12.
  • You will have the capacity to build strong relationships and lead teams with diverse skills and knowledge sets.
