About the position

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team as a leader and mentor to help with ongoing training with our current team. We have a small team of friendly chefs working in an exciting and faced paced setting. We do not need a classic 'Head Chef' role with all the weight of responsibility, duties and stress involved normally with this position. Currently we have a model in place that covers rosters, stock ordering & prep, and hiring. We are looking for someone with experience and skills who can train our current team (who are all eager to learn) in culinary & kitchen skills and provide leadership & mentoring to the team. We can offer a very flexible roster to accommodate the right person.

Key Points of Expectations for the role include:

• Eye for detail and creativeness with food plating.
• Skills across Grill, Pans, and Larder sections.
• Ability to run the Pass, call dockets and give direction (beneficial)
• Sound knowledge of current food trends.
• Sound knowledge of HACCP, food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Ability to work in a small team.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Proven ability to be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management and efficiency.
• Helping maintain a great work culture especially between Kitchen & FOH.
• Must be available weekends and flexible with day/night shifts.
