The Choukette fine pastries team is looking for an apprentice pastry chef to join our team. Located in Brunswick our café creates all the typical French cakes, pastries and savoury products, handmade and fresh everyday by our chefs.

Duties include:

  • Assisting in the production of typical French pastries and bread
  • Decorating tarts and cakes
  • Setting up the shop for the day
  • Maintaining a clean workspace and dish washing
  • Completing other daily tasks

The perfect candidate would be trained by our team that includes a qualified French Chef. We are looking for a hard worker, someone who is motivated, focused and willing to learn.

  • Be enrolled in a school relevant to this position
  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Professionally manage early starts (4am start)
  • Be ready to work on week end
  • be reliable, punctual and engaged.
