About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven
Sales Manager
with a strong background in FMCG, Modern Trade, and Ethnic Trade channels. This role is ideal for a go-getter who thrives on driving sales, building relationships, and managing high-volume distributor operations.
What We're Looking For
Strong self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a passion for selling
Excellent communication & organizational skills
Proven sales & revenue orientation with analytical ability
10 years min experience managing Modern Trade accounts (e.g., Costco, Woolworths, Coles)
In-depth knowledge of Australian Ethnic Trade & HORECA channel in the FMCG Food space.
Familiarity with Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth markets
Experience in commodities & managing multiple distributors with high volumes
Key Responsibilities
Sales Management (Primary & Secondary)
- Achieve sales targets across assigned markets
- Drive distributor performance, new account development & customer retention
- Identify & develop new markets, especially Ethnic Trade & HORECA channels
- Ensure smooth order flow, timely payments & coordination with supply chain
Brand & Product Portfolio Management
- Execute brand growth strategies, sales promotions & product launches
- Conduct market visits, competitor analysis & ensure visibility in retail outlets
- Lead merchandising, new SKU development & sales promotions
Distributor Management
- Support distributor ROI, claims & payment settlements
- Train distributor sales teams & enhance market operations
- Manage inventory & stock replenishment
Budget Planning & Sales Spend
- Plan annual & quarterly budgets
- Approve distributor spends aligned with performance
- Optimize BTL activities & promotions to improve profitability
