Key Account Manager – Composites Division
Location: Gold Coast, Brisbane or Sunshine Coast (work-from-home + field-based)
Salary: Up to $110,000 base + $18,000 car allowance + superannuation + bonus

This role sits within the Composites Division, which develops and supplies unsaturated polyester (UP), vinyl ester (VE), and gelcoat resins, along with associated catalysts, accelerators, and additives. These advanced resin systems are essential for creating durable, high-performance composite products that withstand harsh mechanical and environmental conditions.
Opportunity
Due to sustained growth, Allnex is seeking a Sales Account Manager to drive and expand its composites business throughout South East Queensland.
You can live anywhere on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, or Sunshine Coast, with the role primarily spent on the road visiting customers, growing relationships, and uncovering new opportunities.
You'll be selling Allnex composite resin systems and supporting products, including:
- Unsaturated polyester (UP) resins – the core matrix for composite laminates.
- Vinyl ester (VE) resins – for high-strength, chemical-resistant applications.
- Gelcoats and topcoats – providing UV, weather and abrasion protection with a premium finish.
- Catalysts, accelerators, and additives – to optimise curing and processing.
Customers manufacture or repair composite products where strong, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant materials are essential. Typical industries and uses include:
- Boat building & repairs – hulls, decks, and superstructures.
- Pools & leisure – swimming pool shells, spa baths, and waterslides.
- General fabrication – tanks, pipes, architectural panels, and industrial parts.
- Tooling & moulding – precision moulds and tooling boards.
- Transport sector – truck panels, caravan bodies, buses, and train components.
You'll engage with C-suite decision-makers, production engineers, and on-site laminators, providing tailored resin solutions to meet performance and longevity goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an established customer portfolio while winning new business.
- Recommend resin systems and provide technical advice on composite applications.
- Prepare quotes, negotiate contracts, and meet sales budgets and KPIs.
- Collaborate with technical service and R&D teams to support trials and product launches.
- Track market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.

Candidate Profile
- Tertiary qualifications in Science (Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field) highly desirable.
- Proven technical sales experience in industrial coatings, composite resins, or related chemicals strongly preferred.
- Alternatively, hands-on experience in fibreglass/composite fabrication (marine, pools, transport, or industrial) will be considered.
- Strong consultative sales ability, with confidence engaging executives, production engineers, and tradespeople.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven, with excellent territory and relationship management skills.
