Your Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Specialist to oversee and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution. This pivotal role supports seamless order processing, supplier relationship management, and logistics activities, while championing process improvements to enhance warehouse and customer service efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage comprehensive supply chain operations encompassing procurement, warehousing, distribution, and delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain accuracy and ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth and efficient order flow from purchase through to delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics (KPIs), identify bottlenecks, and lead initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and provide strategic insights to senior management.
  • Execute hands-on logistics tasks, including:

  • Booking incoming shipments into the warehouse and promptly addressing discrepancies in line with departmental KPIs.

  • Issuing purchase orders to internal suppliers and following up on confirmations, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Managing stock replenishment and on-demand inventory, leveraging supply forecasts, scrap rates, shelf life, and usage data.
  • Provide backup support to Warehouse and Customer Service functions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6+ years of Supply Chain management and logistics experience.
  • Experience in regulated industries, particularly healthcare or life sciences, is a distinct advantage.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables).
  • Experience with SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management), MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and SD (Sales and Distribution).
  • Familiarity with Windows-based operating systems and internet applications.

Key Skills:

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Self-motivated, with high attention to detail, the ability to be flexible, and a willingness to display initiative
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Medical/ life science product knowledge (preferred)

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have ability to handle more than one task at a time and must work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job is performed in a variety of facility types. This person will have an office environment for about half of the work performance, which is temperature controlled. This job requires the person to be mobile to move to warehouse portion of the facility. Used research/clinical equipment may be handled in this job and strict SOPs and PPE must be worn.
