Part-Time Trust Accountant/Bookkeeper with experience in MYOB A critical role in a respected legal practice

You'll be the in-house Trust and General Accountant/Bookkeeper, working closely with the Director to ensure trust accounts, payroll, financial reporting, and general accounting obligations are managed with precision and care.

This is a part-time, permanent role working 20–25 hours per week, with flexibility around scheduling. You'll be based onsite at the firm's Hawthorn office.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Full management of trust accounts in line with legal and regulatory requirements

  • Payroll processing, superannuation, and employee entitlements

  • Managing invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting

  • End-of-month and year-end financial reports for review by the Director

  • Cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and compliance tracking

  • Maintaining licenses and audit readiness

  • Identifying opportunities for system and process improvements

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Experience managing trust accounts in a legal or professional services firm

  • Confidence with MYOB, trust accounting systems (e.g. LEAP or Affinity), and Microsoft Excel

  • Strong general accounting, reporting, and payroll experience

  • A proactive, self-managed approach to work

  • Clear communication and the ability to liaise directly with the firm's Director
