We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Financial Accounting Manager to join our Reporting and Governance finance team on a 24 Month Fixed Term Contract. As Coles transitions ownership of the Coles Express business to VIVA Energy our finance team will play a key role in ensuring key deliverables are met in line with agreement.

**About the Role**:
You will lead a team of two Financial Accounting Leads, with the responsibility of ensuring all financial control activities for Coles Group on behalf of VIVA under the TSA. This role will be key in ensuring a smooth transition and will work across multiple stakeholders both within Coles Group, externally with VIVA Energy and offshore professional services. You will also:

- lead the end-to-end financial control activities including month end close activities on behalf of VIVA energy.
- Oversee maintenance of financial data for Viva in accordance with Coles policies
- Manage compliance with Coles Balance sheet reconciliations policy
- Build a detailed project plan for establishing processes for production of Viva trial balance
- Support the delivery of VIVA internal monthly results reporting for their Group Results

**About you and your skills**:
We are looking for a passionate leader with significant financial control experience and the ability to nurture commercial relationships. You will also need:

- CA/CPA or similar qualification with a tertiary accounting qualification
- Significant financial control experience in the Retail or FMCG, ideally in a large scale and fast paced environment
- Proven experience of working with a diverse range of stakeholders with the ability to effectively work cross functionally
- Extensive experience with accounting for commercial income/rebates and management of trading terms
- Strong interpersonal, influencing skills and communication skills
- Wide ranging knowledge of current accounting standards and ability to provide thought leadership to the team
