**About the team**:
Finance makes it easier for us to win together as a business. Our team works side-by-side with every other team to help bring commercial thinking into what they do and make moves that support our strategic business decisions.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Financial Accounting Lead to join our Reporting and Governance finance team on a 24 Month Fixed Term Contract. As Coles transitions ownership of the Coles Express business to VIVA Energy our finance team will play a key role in ensuring key deliverables are met in line with agreement.

**About the Role**:
Reporting into the Financial Account Manager, you will be responsible for supporting all financial account activities including month end and close activities on behalf of VIVA energy.
This role will be key in ensuring a smooth transition and will work across multiple stakeholders both within Coles Group, externally with VIVA Energy and offshore professional services. You will also:

- Manage reporting lines for monthly results of both VIVAs Energy and Coles Group.
- Manage compliance with Coles Balance Sheet reconciliations policy for both Coles Group and VIVA.
- Oversee maintenance of financial data for Viva in accordance with Coles policies
- Deliver financial controls governance and support to any audit testing
- To provide on the job training and coaching to offshore FR&G team

***About you and your skills**:
We are looking for someone who has extensive experience in a financial control role or and external role. Someone who can deliver commercial outcomes with a high level of energy and pace. You will also need:

- CA/CPA or similar qualification with a tertiary accounting qualification
- experience in a large-scale corporate business, ideally in retail or FMCG
- Proven experience of working and coordinating with a diverse range of stakeholders with the ability to effectively work cross functionally
- Extensive experience with accounting for commercial income/rebates and management of trading terms
- Strong interpersonal, influencing skills and communication skills
- knowledge of current accounting standards
