Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced full-time Accountant to join our team. This position entails a broad spectrum of financial and accounting responsibilities, necessitating oversight of all general financial activities within the business.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Creating budgets for various expenses such as purchasing inventory, advertising, maintaining the premises to allocate budget and monitor the efficiency. Forecasting sales and expenses based on historical data and market trends.

· Calculating the landed cost of goods, including purchase price, customs duties, GST, port charges, and freight. Performing cost and ratio analysis to support procurement decisions and financial efficiency.

· Tracking cash flow by monitoring incoming and outgoing financial transactions, including revenue from sales, supplier payments, and operational expenditures related to inventory management and overall business operations.

· Coordination with banks, statuary bodies and other stakeholders for finances and prepare business proposals.

· Preparing profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to evaluate the financial health of the business. Conducting financial analysis and reporting findings to management for decision-making purposes.

· Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Coordinating audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and implementing improvements to internal control procedures.

· Managing tax-related matters: Ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns, including Business Activity statement and income tax. Keeping abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the business.

· Analysing sales data, profit margins, and inventory turnover to assess the company& financial performance. Identifying opportunities to increase profitability and improve efficiency in purchasing and inventory management.

· Reviewing financial data prepared by administrative staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Assisting with the implementation of payroll systems, including Single Touch Payroll (STP), and ensuring confidentiality in financial reporting.

Requirements:

· Master's degree in accounting or finance.

· 5 years of experience in accounting or related field.

· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero).

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
