Our Chemical & Environmental Safety division is a market leader, providing a wide range of essential products that ensure chemical and environmental compliance across numerous industries. We manufacture equipment designed for the secure storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials, including chemical safety cabinets, spill containment systems, and safety cans. Our comprehensive product portfolio also includes safety showers, eyewashes, and chemical labeling items, all aimed at protecting workers and assets. This holistic approach to hazardous materials management helps reduce the risk of accidents and environmental harm.
The contribution you will bring to this role:
The Global Spill & Safety business in Australia is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their Finance Team. This role will play a critical part in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting cost-related activities to support decision-making and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both the finance and operations teams. This role will handle day-to-day accounting functions, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting both accounts payable and receivable processes.

What you will do at Justrite:
Prepare, analyze, and report on cost data to support pricing strategies, budgeting, and forecasting
Perform monthly cost allocations, inventory reconciliations, and variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast)
Maintain and update standard costs of products, services, and processes
Partner with operations, procurement, and production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with a focus on cost-related accounts
Conduct audits of cost records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
Provides accounting support for management by reviewing financial information and providing reports as directed
- Coordinates weekly and monthly reporting functions with Controller to ensure timely reporting of sales, costs, and projected values for the various entities
- Process various types of accounts payable transactions including vendor invoices and recurring payments in accordance with company policies and controls
- Ensure invoices are accurately coded, approved, posted and processed within established deadlines
- Ensuring accurate and timely posting and reconciliation of all incoming payments
- Prepares General Ledger entries by maintaining records and files and by reconciling accounts
- Reviews and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
- Ensures compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
Your skills and expertise:
To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
2-3 years of cost accounting or general accounting experience (manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Strong, confident team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Experience in MYOB EXO or similar ERP system a plus but not required
Microsoft Office experience with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and Australian Accounting Standards
