We are searching for a driven and self motivating Accounts Office person to join our Finance team on a Part-Time basis, the option to work from home in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.

This role reports to the Director and will be responsible for all aspects of accounts for a growing company.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Manage Online MYOB Accounting

¨ Process salary allocations for each pay run

¨ Administer superannuation processes and payments.

¨ Monthly reconciliations for leave, payroll, salary sacrifice, payroll tax, group tax, WorkCover, superannuation and FBT, as well as all authorised payroll deductions.

¨ Administration of portable long service leave requirements

¨ Assist with the maintenance of salary data to ensure wages payments comply with awards, arbitrated decisions and agreements.

¨ Bank reconciliation

¨ Reconcile sales receipts including monies received via Credit Card or Electronic Funds Transfer

¨ Reconciling and coding of Bank feeds

¨ Reconcile Credit Card expenses

¨ Payroll – adjustments when required and to make sure pays are completed by Wednesday of the pay cycle

¨ Manage Employee profiles including set up and amendments

¨ Accuracy and attention to detail when managing accounting figures and financial reports

¨ Recording and processing invoices and credit notes

¨ Accounts receivable reconciliations

¨ Ensuring that collection of overdue accounts is performed, and collection targets are met

¨ Management of all Purchase Orders

¨ Liaising with Accounts Departments with regard to Purchase Orders and collections

¨ Providing accurate and detailed reports when required

¨ Appropriate handling of sensitive information

¨ Prepare and distribute wages/salaries accurately and on time.

¨ Prepare and pay month end cheques and payments for employee deductions ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.

¨ Maintain pay records, associated time keeping data and statistics, leave records and related information.

¨ Manage Employee profiles including set up and amendments

Accounts Receivable component of the role has the duty of securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts and resolving discrepancies.

The Payroll component of the role is responsible for processing payroll, tax calculations, deductions and preparing monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll related reports.

Within this role, you will have reporting relationships with the Director and the Accounting/Finance Team.

Skills & Personal Attributes

¨ Understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations

¨ Ability to prioritise and multi-task

¨ Ability to work autonomously, yet be part of a broader team

¨ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

¨ Team player with the ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple parties

¨ Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel and MYOB package

¨ Previous experience in a similar position

¨ Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft products

¨ Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team

¨ Attention to detail and accuracy

¨ Experience using MYOB accounting software

¨ MYOB advanced knowledge of Time Billing

Qualifications

¨ Certificate IV or higher in Accounting, Finance, or any related field.

¨ Current National or International Police Check (within the last 6months)

¨ Right to work in Australia Check

¨ Working with Children's Check
