Programmed on behalf of EB are now accepting applications for a methodical and well-organised IT Systems Support Officer to work on-site in Westbury Tasmania in a permanent full-time capacity.

Role Summary

This position is responsible for monitoring and actioning IT service desk requests and incidents, as the first point of contact and providing Level 1 and 2 support across a devices and systems.

You will be accountable for managing each request end-to-end, ensuring ownership from initiation through to closure, and maintaining consistent communication with end users and the IT department throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; identifying the root cause and implementing solutions to resolve.
  • Undertake ticket grooming as part of a problem management process and undertake special investigations as required.
  • Provide hardware and system support to assist Extractas' users in obtaining maximum value from their IT systems. Including but not limited to: Microsoft, Azure AD, Teams, Intune & Defender.
  • Assist with certificates, networking and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Set up and configure desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
  • Maintain and support servers, networks, phones, printers, and other hardware.
  • Provide assistance with user administration, onboarding and offboarding of employees, including account setup and IT inductions.

About You

You will be aligned to the EB values, People Matter, Transformation Matters and Outcomes Matter. You will be motivated and a self-starter, providing clear communications and timely updates.

In addition to the above you will have:

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or tertiary qualification in an IT discipline.
  • Understanding of ITIL concepts and customer service principles.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Infrastructure, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
  • Exposure to networking, including LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi.
  • Good understanding of IT troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • An ability to operate within a controlled IT environment.
  • An ability to work, both independently and co-operatively, within a small IT team.
  • A genuine interest in learning new systems and skills to support our IT environment.
