About the position

The Bookings Officer will be responsible for providing administrative support, excellent customer service to all stakeholders and general assistance with tasks involved in running events. This role ensures that all bookings are organised and executed in an efficient and professional manner from enquiry, set up and delivery.

This position will work across all venues within Community Venues being Highfields Cultural Centre, Oakey Cultural Centre, The Annex, Goods Shed and the Highfields library community meeting rooms.

This position will work under regular direction.

  • The salary range for this position is $71, $76,998.31 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
  • This is a Temporary Full time position for 12 months from appointment.
  • The position is based at the Oakey Cultural Centre and will be required to work across all venues within Community Venues.
  • The position participate in a flexible work roster that allows for any five in seven days to be worked, depending on operational requirements.

How to be successful in this position - Success Criteria

  1.   2. Basic skills in numeracy, oral and written communication.
  3. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide accurate and timely advice in a helpful and supportive manner.
  4. Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage time, plan and organise workload.
  5. Sound ability to exercise limited judgement and initiative where procedures and practices are not clearly defined.
  6. Ability to assist with planning a variety of functions requiring knowledge of established work practices and procedures.
  7. Demonstrated skills in the operation of computer applications, in particular, the Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to apply computing concepts.
  8. Understanding of and commitment to Council's Organisational Value and Behaviour of Teamwork.
