About the role

As an Experienced/Senior Medical Receptionist at Melbourne Neurocare, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our busy medical practice. This is a full time role and you will be required to work at all our locations - Noble Park, Huntingdale and Richmond. It will involve providing exceptional customer service to our patients, managing the front desk, and supporting our clinical team.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments
  • Handling patient inquiries and booking requests via phone, email, and in-person
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and files
  • Assisting with the processing of payments and medical claims
  • Providing administrative support to the clinical team as needed
  • Ensuring the reception area and waiting room are well-organised and presentable

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience (2+ years) working as a Medical Receptionist with medical specialists or surgeons
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, clinicians, and other stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and manage competing demands
  • Proficiency in using medical practice management software and other relevant IT systems
  • A calm and composed demeanour, able to work effectively under pressure
  • A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
