About the role

We're seeking an experienced and energetic medical receptionist to join our team. Our business is growing and we're looking for someone to support and complement our dynamic team. You will be responsible for front desk operations at our General Practice, reporting to the Practice Manager and assisting with administration tasks.

The Medical Receptionists work collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, other Medical Receptionists and Management.

About you

  • 1-2 years' experience in medical reception is highly regarded
  • Knowledge of Best Practice and Hot Doc desired
  • 100% commitment to the company and team members
  • Bubbly, energetic and diligent personality
  • Ability to work within a vibrant, caring and down to earth team
  • Build rapport with patients and put them at ease
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Ability to communicate effectively with doctors, staff and patients,
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workflow effectively,
  • Ability to problem solve within parameters of job description,
  • Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality,
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently,
  • Excellent telephone manner,
  • Intermediate computer skills,
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite,
  • Previous experience in a private billing general practice ideal,
  • Flexibility to work rotating roster/variety of shifts and public holidays.
  • Ability to work on Saturday roster a MUST. (rotational)
