THE OPPORTUNITY

Here at Norweld, we are continuing to grow our team to keep up with customer demand This means we have an opportunity for an Welder / Sheetmetal Fabricator with experience in aluminium fabrication to join our Townsville branch. You'll enjoy a great work/life balance with a 4-day week and no weekend work, in a new, clean work environment. High level MIG and TIG welding skills are desirable, as you will be responsible for manufacturing and welding Norweld tray and canopy components for high-end vehicle builds, with the support of an experienced team. 3rd/4th Apprentices welcome to apply.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out welding activities to manufacture, fabricate and repair parts and components

• Ensuring trays and canopies are cleaned once work is complete

• Undertaking activities in a team environment and meeting safety and production targets

• Carrying out inspections and quality control throughout the manufacturing and production process

• Ensuring the health and safety of all customers, visitors and team members

• Identifying, assessing and controlling workplace hazards

• Maintaining workplace cleanliness and tool and equipment care

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will have:

• Trade certificate (or currently undertaking) and/or relevant experience

• Excellent quality of work and time management skills

• Current Australian Manual Drivers Licence

• Strong, ongoing commitment to workplace health & safety

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-skilled team environment

• Sound knowledge of 4x4 Makes, Models and popular accessories and brands (desirable)

• Passion for the outdoors, off-roading and camping is a plus
