About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chef to join our team in a caring aged care environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents by preparing nutritious, delicious, and well-presented meals that meet dietary needs and personal preferences.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and cook meals according to dietary requirements and resident preferences
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
- Collaborate with clinical and care staff to ensure appropriate nutrition
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and aged care standards
About You:
- Qualified Chef with relevant commercial cookery certification (e.g., Cert III in Commercial Cookery)
- Previous experience in an aged care or healthcare setting (preferred)
- Understanding of special dietary requirements including texture-modified diets (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passionate about creating a positive dining experience for the elderly
