About the role

We are looking for an experienced chef to join our team at the Little hideout cafe' in Balmoral, Queensland. As our chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our customers in a full-time capacity. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents and contribute to the success of our thriving cafe.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes from our diverse menu
  • Ensuring all food is cooked to the highest standards of quality and presentation
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
  • Collaborating with the front-of-house team to provide an exceptional dining experience for our customers
  • Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Assisting with menu development and providing input on new menu items

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience as a chef in a fast-paced cafe or restaurant environment
  • Excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • The ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with front-of-house staff
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • A positive, customer-focused attitude

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
