About the role

Are you a detail-oriented and strategic thinker with a passion for procurement?

We are seeking a Purchasing Office to join our team in the construction sector. The position is available for immediate start, based in Pakenham, Victoria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and negotiate all purchasing with suppliers to secure the best materials at competitive prices

  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure timely delivery of materials

  • Accurate job costing on projects and tracking extra costs for variations

  • Collaborate with project managers to meet construction timelines and budget requirements

  • Support annual budget, targets and forecast procurement needs

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies

  • Produce performance and audit reports for review with manager as required.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience with a minimum 3 years' experience in a similar procurement/purchasing role, ideally within the construction/ building sector.

  • A strong attention to detail and an understanding of procurement principles, processes and best practices to meet budget requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Proficient in using procurement software and inventory management systems, Microsoft Word and Excel

  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset
