Job Overview:

The Substation Construction Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing project field activities as specified by the Client within a geographical area of the United Energy network.

  • Coordinate and manage all construction activities within a zone substation (inclusive of High Voltage equipment, underground and overhead); focusing on safety and ensuring project risks are identified and managed.
  • Manage day-to-day construction work and procurement activities, resource/application requirements, and project issues.
  • Manage field resources in line with project organisation structure, ensuring projects are completed to Client's expectations – safely, on time, to approved scope, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relations with sub-contractors, the client, and internal staff.
  • Coordinate sub-contractors and the quality of their work.
  • Provide accurate input into forecasting of program resource & financial requirements.
  • Assist Project Manager & Estimators (as required) – scoping, bid tendering, cost estimation, and construction schedules.
