The island is one of the closest Whitsunday islands to the mainland (Airlie Beach) with spectacular 30-minute ferry ride to work each day.

As the Executive Housekeeper, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the resort upholds the hightest standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest comfort.

About the Role

  • Lead and manage the housekeeping team, to maintain exceptional cleanliness and tidiness across all guest rooms, public and back of house areas.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and operating procedures to ensure efficiency and consistency in service.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all areas meet quality and maintenance standards.
  • Oversee inventory managment for cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenitites maintaining appropriate stock levels while management costs.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive and high performing team culture.

About You

  • Proven experience as an Executive Housekeeper or similar role within a hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and support a diverse team.
  • Excellent organisational and time managmeent abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Sound knowledge of cleaning techniques, products and equipment as well as workplace health and safety standards.
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and perform under pressure
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and varying shifts as required.
