The Company
Our client is a US-based global leader in medical and IT mounting solutions, well established and highly regarded in the Australian and broader APAC healthcare markets. Their products are trusted by leading medical equipment manufacturers worldwide, combining custom-engineered solutions with a portfolio of internationally recognised, off-the-shelf offerings. In the APAC region, they also service hospitals and healthcare providers through a strong network of value added resellers (distributors), delivering innovation and quality.
The Role
Based in Sydney, accountable for the APAC Region, this role is responsible for the development of sales and relationships across all channels including value added resellers (distributors) and medical equipment / IT manufacturers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive sales strategy for the APAC region - Account Management:
Nurture and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers across APAC. Act as the primary point of contact, understand their evolving needs, ensure satisfaction, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling. - New Business Development:
Proactively research, identify, prospect, and acquire new OEM and Reseller customers within key markets across the APAC region (including, but not limited to, Korea, China, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore). - Regional Travel:
Undertake frequent travel (estimated 40-60%) across the APAC region to meet with existing and prospective clients, attend industry events, and build market presence. - Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates on regional performance, pipeline status, and market conditions. - Negotiation & Closing:
Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and successfully close sales deals with existing and new customers - Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including technical support, engineering, finance, product management, and marketing, to ensure customer needs are met and sales opportunities are maximized. Partner with the Global VP of Sales to develop and implement a dual strategy aimed at both OEM customers and direct-to-hospital customers
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Significant sales experience across the APAC region within the medical equipment / IT solutions market (this is essential)
- Existing relationships with distributors across the APAC region including Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a true hunter mentality, you will be a driven sales performer
- Understanding of hospital clinical workflows and the medical equipment market; you will be able to provide solutions to equipment manufacturers
- A background in engineering, product design or manufacture is highly relevant as an adjunct to your sales experience
- Ability to travel frequently to the region, and across Australia/New Zealand
- Experience working with and overseeing distributors to drive sales performance is essential
Rewards
- Lucrative bonus / commission scheme
- OTE total earnings in excess $300K
- Base salary $180 to $200K
